  • Chris Vecchio Ph.D

    Consultant

In the early 1990s Chris Vecchio began creating active devices, installations, and interventions in an effort to better understand the relationship between man and technology. He is particularly interested in the emotional history of applied science, the narrative potential of electronic circuitry, and the use of ambiguous but suggestive user interfaces to generate new modes of interaction.

Chris holds BS and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University. He teaches Physical Computing in the School of Film and Media Arts at Temple University and works as an engineer specializing in medical ultrasound and interactive design. He has created custom hardware and software for clients including The Please Touch Museum, Madrid Abierto, The Independence Seaport Museum, The Gulf Coast Exploreum, and The Franklin Institute.
